OUR PURPOSE IN TRAVEL
We have joined together to use our purchasing power to get travel deals to bring the same great experiences many children are able to enjoy, to the children of foster and adoptive families around South Carolina. We will need financial support from many sources to make this affordable for our volunteer foster and adoptive families.
It is a little known fact that the board rate reimbursement rate given for the children in foster and adoptive care has not risen in over 10 years! Have you ever tried to live on the same money you are bringing in over 10 years ago - with all the price increases of energy, food and supplies? These front line families deserve a break from those of us who are able to support them in this special mission they are undertaking to care for the children in need.
The "Our Kids Travel" program is designed to give our foster and adoptive families an opportunity to experience educational as well as family building experiences without the worry about a negative impact on their day to day living expenses. We have several opportunities for donations and fund raising programs that will help these dreams be realized and appreciate your support!
